The City Brush Site now uses a Key-Card to access an automated gate. To purchase a new key-card and enter the Brush Site, fill out the Application Form (including vehicle license plate information) and visit the Finance Counter within City Hall or the front counter at the Department of Public Works (DPW). The Brush Site is located at 6000 West Bonniwell Road.
Key-cards cannot be purchased at the Brush Site. The key-card will only work when the Brush Site is open: 7:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesdays through Sundays, between April 7 and December 13, 2026. (Closed Mondays.)
Residents can access the Application Form here, please complete this and make sure to include up to two vehicle license plate number(s). The first-year fee is $40 for the Brush Site key-card with a renewal fee of $30 annually (when using the key-card purchased the first year).
Cash, check or credit card (additional processing fee applies) payments can be made at City Hall at 11333 North Cedarburg Road or at the DPW building located at 10800 North Industrial Drive.
Along with the new key-cards and an automated gate, the improved City of Mequon Brush Site now features an expanded yard, paved storage areas, perimeter fencing, lights, cameras and license plate readers. The Brush Site features concrete blocks to separate different materials that can be left at the site. Please look for the signs to dispose of grass, leaves, non-invasive weeds, brush, logs and woodchips in the correct locations.
