No person except as provided by Wis. Stats. § 125.06, shall within the City of Mequon serve, sell, manufacture, rectify, brew or engage in any other activity for which chapter 14 of the City of Mequon Municipal Code or Wis. Stats. ch. 125 requires a license or permit.
License Fees (A $20 publication fee is added to the following)*:

- Class A Liquor $500
- Class B Beer $100

*Fees are for licenses issued July 1 - June 30 annually. If applying for a new liquor license during the annual period, the fees are pro-rated.
2026-2027 License Renewal Information
The City no longer mails out yearly renewal letters. Liquor Licensing Application forms can be found below OR the Department of Revenue website. Complete your License Renewal to the City Clerk by 4 PM on May 15. An additional late fee of $50.00 will apply for Renewals received after May 15. Inspections of your establishment must be conducted before your application can be submitted for Finance-Personnel Committee approval. Incomplete or late applications will delay your license renewal possibly beyond the June 30th expiration date, and late fees will apply.
- When completing AB-200 "Premises Description", make sure to include all rooms and buildings where alcohol and records will be sold, served, consumed and/or stored. Include any outdoor areas. If outside areas (i.e. patios, ball diamond, volleyball court, parking lot, etc.) are to be utilized for special events, you must attach a separate sheet with complete description, time and date of event(s).
- Mequon requires a complete list of all officers, partners, managing members, and agents. A completed AB-100 Individual Questionnaire must be completed for each person. The agent must also complete form AB-101 Appointment of Agent.
