The Mequon Police Department lobby provides a variety of counter services for the community, including, but not limited to:
- Open records requests and pick-ups
- Weapons discharge permits
- Signing off on 10-day correction (“fix-it”) tickets
- The sale of brush and burn permits
- Event applications
- Background checks
- Bicycle registrations
- Walk-in complaints
- Fingerprinting
Free gun safety locks are also available, along with general resource information brochures located in the vestibule.
In addition, the lobby is where residents may pick up keys for City Hall meeting rooms or Parks Department building rentals.
Please note that the Mequon Police Department does not accept payment for municipal or traffic citations; however, payment for parking citations is accepted at the lobby counter.
Effective January 1, 2026, lobby counter service hours will be adjusted to better align with staffing and service needs. Counter services will be available daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including weekends. The police department lobby itself will remain open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and emergency response and essential police services will continue to be provided around the clock. The Mequon Police Department remains committed to serving the community at all times.
